Welsh Libraries Author of the Month is Dave Lewis

Each month on the Libraries Wales website, they focus on an inspiring author based in or writing about Wales. You’ll have an introduction to their latest book, a short biography of the author, what inspires them to write, and any advice they have for young writers, all available in exclusive interviews.

Since introducing this feature, some of their focused authors to date have been Max Boyce, Dai Smith, Eloise Williams, Nicola Davies, Rae Howells & Rachel Tresize.

This month, May 2023, it is the turn of Pontypridd writer, Dave Lewis.  He is a #1 Amazon Best Seller and award-winning writer, poet and photographer and always lived in Wales except for a short spell in Kenya in 1993-94. He has worked for BBC Wales, written local newspaper columns and been published in a number of literary magazines and also websites all over the world.

As well as having published over 20 books he also runs the international Welsh Poetry Competition, the Writers of Wales A to Z database, self-publishing company Publish & Print, and the Poetry Book Awards.
